BOTW TRAVELOGUE
Dec. 28th, 2018 11:47 ami haven't really been doing much besides playing this game all week so here's some thoughts:
having limited-use weapons made me REALLY anxious about getting into fights in the early game, and i guess i'm still pretty early in (having fought none of the ancient guardians, and all) but the instant you have enough inventory room to justify having like three thunder swords at once? HOOOOO TIME TO GO IN THE RAIN AND DESTROY SOME DUDES
i managed to avoid going up-river to the zora city and instead WENT ALL THE WAY AROUND THE MOUNTAINS, found a place where I was able to climb in spite of the rain, and paraglided into that bitch. which feels great to have done but apparently that makes you miss a HUGE chunk of story stuff with sidon, who, by the way, is MARKEDLY less horny than the internet has led me to believe. hmm.
yesterday i finally relented and started using the horse i caught in a previous session, and OH BOY they are way more useful once you start exploring places with fewer mountain ranges. also managed to get struck by lightning while riding because i didn't realize your equipment dictates whether or not you get hit, which was horrifying but also kind of hilarious. the horse is FINE.
i'm glad the map has a custom marker system but i wish it had JUST a few more kinds of icons, just to make noting resource gathering locations a little more effecient
